Entire blogs, such as TwiTip, have been created with guest post about the microblogging social tool. For instance, here’s an inspiring article by a medical doctor on how to use Twitter to lose weight. Would you rather want to know how to be productive while tweeting?
It’s important to consider Twitter is a different animal than Friendster, MySpace, Facebook, and LinkedIn, to name a few other social media sites. The ones I named are built around building a community around mutuality; you can’t be connected to me on Facebook or LinkedIn unless I agree to be connected to you. On Twitter, you can “follow” my tweets and it’s my choice if I want to follow you back.
And therein lies the beauty of the system.
