The majority of bloggers around the world, although I can’t profess to guess a percentage, offer readers like you two ways to subscribe to their content so you can follow and receive new articles every day or every week or whenever such articles are published. Those two ways are by RSS, shorthand for Really Simple Syndication, which Kristi Hines expertly summarizes, or by email delivery.
Unlike the masses, I also offer a third route which I’ve infrequently publicized but is worth mentioning. Effective May 16, 2009, you were able to read this blog on your Kindle, no different than a book passage. If you are an Amazon Kindle toting member of society and are willing to pay $0.99 a month for a subscription, of which I receive a 30% royalty, the link is right here. I have no idea what it looks like in a Kindle, for I don’t own one and can only think of 1-2 people who do, but maybe this is for you when you’re on the go and don’t want to access my blog from your free mobile web browser.
It’s a tertiary subscription option, anyway. If you’re a blogger and care to participate, head on over to the Kindle Publishing for Blogs program.
