It’s not like there is a shortage of blogs. Uhh, right.
Supposing you’ve built your blog, optimized the site for search engines, followed the advice of ProBlogger and CopyBlogger, and networked online and off to build awareness, what’s next? How do you gain readership and watch your comment numbers increase?
If your blog is underappreciated and in need of a heartbeat, Chuck Westbrook is your salvation.
After 5 weeks, 632 comments, and 95 trackbacks, it’s fair to say that Chuck has built a tremendous grassroots movement to increase your readership via his personal blog.
The movement is simple: leave a comment on his blog that you would like to participate and gain readership. Your name goes in the name field, your blog goes into the website field, and your email address won’t be published. Add a short comment of a sentence or a paragraph, and voila!
Every two weeks, Chuck will select a new blog for everyone to visit.
That’s easy enough, right?
If you know of other ways for bloggers to increase readership and commenting, please share your thoughts below. Thanks!
