I recently wrote 19 best practices on tweeting like a human.
Please visit that link and focus on the number of people who clicked my social sharing buttons. As of this moment in time, 9 people shared it on Facebook, 46 shared it on Twitter, 10 shared it on Google+, and 3 shared it on LinkedIn.
And that’s just from my post on my blog.
Visit the same post on Business 2 Community and you see 8 LinkedIn shares and 87 retweets.
Visit the same post on Social Media Today and you see 18 Facebook shares, 54 Google+ shares, 73 LinkedIn shares, and a whopping 673 retweets.
How’d that happen, you ask?
When I published my blog post, their editors observed my submission among a feed of other submissions by other bloggers; and they promoted me from just a person in their incoming syndication feed to a person featured on their website and across their social media channels. They tweeted on my behalf — and like clockwork, people retweeted them. The same process occurred elsewhere on social media.
With every post of mine that is syndicated and distributed to their own networks of readers and followers, there is a ricochet effect of my own new readers, new sharers, new commentators, new blog subscribers, new social media followers, and new influence markers.
What will I write next to cause another spike of visitors, shares, and inbound links? Stick with me and let’s find out…
