I resisted Netflix from its beginnings in 1999 until earlier this summer when I downgraded my Comcast cable from their “digital preferred” package to basic cable (essentially about a dozen stations) and decided to pay Netflix $7.99 a month for the ability to stream movies and TV shows through my Roku player and onto my HDTV.
Comcast enables me to stream 250 gigabytes of data every month — which is quite a lot of data, considering I watched 120 episodes of “Lost” in marathon pace during the month of October and had 100 gig to go.
I’m currently watching “Battlestar Galactica” when time permits and other content when inspired.
If you’d like to try out Netflix for free, check out the offer below and click here when you’re ready.
Note: Netflix is not paying me.
They emailed me this offer and I’m sharing it on.
