I invite you to rewind to December 2012, December 2013, and December 2014 and observe how my tweeting evolved…
Of note, the number of replies increased every year — to the extent that last month saw more replies than the other two months combined. While my mood changes whenever I decide to send a tweet, I usually choose to reply to someone (or mention someone) than merely broadcast. It’s a personal preference.
Here is an example broadcast tweet:
It is 20 degrees outside. I'm seeing cars with open windows and people drinking frappuccinos. Weird.

I do it out of ego, mainly, preferring to tweet and get a response than tweet and leave it to the gods if someone reads it and is inspired to tweet back. In the example above, Jesse did reply; and I replied back.
