Looking for Guest Bloggers

In his expose on why bloggers should write guest articles for other bloggers, Christopher Roberts opines the advertorial aspect:

When you guest post on a popular blog, people get to know you.

People look out for you in the comments.

People follow your links and check out your other work.

Some bloggers that I met on the blogosphere have a fantastic and unique style, and it’s often through guest posts that I find their blogs. If someone likes your content and/or writing style, they will research you.

When I launched the Feature Friday series last year, I was unprepared for the initial surge of emails from people around the world eager to share their content and style with me and you.

@DannyBrown contrasted blog commenting systems, @Jeannie_Chan encouraged writing negative blog comments, and Marcus @TheSalesLion Sheridan argued why quality trumps quantity. Brandon Yanofsky, Tammi Kibler, Brianna Phillips, and many others shared their perspectives and you soaked it all up.

I’m looking for more bloggers and writers to bring back features every Friday. At the very top of this page, you will see a link called Contribute. This explains what I’m looking for and details the process to go about writing something. Interested?

I would definitely be interested; but I feel I am new to your blog. Let me see what topics have been covered and the general feel of the blog; then I will definitely send a request to pitch in my contribution :)

Have a lovely weekend!

It would be very pleased to be able to submit a guest post to your site. You have such a professional and well put together blog.

Guest blog posts are excellent way to promote brand and get engagement with other bloggers. On my blog I have state that clearly on my header. It takes time to get loyal and consistent guest bloggers, but for sure it is not impossible, just time consuming.

Being a guest blogger in a good idea both the owner of this site as well as the guest blogger because they can interact each other to promote both of their website with a common interest, in short like a partnership. My website will be famous and get good recognition same as the blog owners.

Still trying to get round to seeing how guest blog posting can be worth the effort for a top class post. Maybe i’ll see the justification some day but for now i just think it is not worth my while.

All the same, thanks for the offer.

Thank you Ari for let me know about the guest post opportunity. However, could you please give me more about your requirements for it?

Anybody who is reading your fine blog and is not interested in becoming a guest blogger either doesn’t feel competent, or doesn’t understand what guest blogging is. I will be thrilled to submit my post in the next week.

Yeah. I think people really underestimate the “referral” aspect of the guest post.

This is the fundamental strategy of what advertisement has always been about remember the daytime soaps were started by Proctor & Gamble.

This is also why celebs always get stuff for free so long as they wear it in public.

Ari,

You might want to make the option to submit Guest Post more visible on your blog menu! It worked well for my blog.

Good advice, Alex, thanks. It’s something I change now and then. Take another look now. Better?

:D looks nice and should work, although I find that many people use contact form on my site before clicking that button to ask if they can post, but you mileage may vary

Thanks for the mention Ari, I will consider a guest post, really busy at the moment though :-( – not that that is necessarily a bad thing ;-)

Feeling a bit sheepish about now, after reading the article looking for guest bloggers, I looked all over the place for the “Contribute” buton that simply doesn’t exist.

Five minutes later after scanning the entire page again, I notice the “Write a guest post” link.

Anyways back on topic, guest posts can be a great way to get back links and have benefits to both the guest writer and the website owner, in fact one of my blogs has about 5 articles written by myself and 150 written by guests, I get plenty of traffic and make money from it and the guest writers get back links and plenty of click throughs to their site, so it’s win win all round.

You can expect an email from me soon, I already have a title and subject in mind.

I think the guest blogging has emerged as one of the better and more audience targeted method of marketing. Some of the world’s best thinkers and writers have been guest posting regularly.

ARI,
Awesome post :)
I am sure that you are post is going to help a lot of new and upcoming bloggers out there.

I also thank you for including various specific techniques like thanking them via Twitter. I used to do that, but stopped it since I realized that it would take too much time (and maybe annoy some people – because I do get a lot of consistent commentators in lot of my guest posts). What do you think?
