ARI,
Awesome post :)
I am sure that you are post is going to help a lot of new and upcoming bloggers out there.

I also thank you for including various specific techniques like thanking them via Twitter. I used to do that, but stopped it since I realized that it would take too much time (and maybe annoy some people – because I do get a lot of consistent commentators in lot of my guest posts). What do you think?

I think the guest blogging has emerged as one of the better and more audience targeted method of marketing. Some of the world's best thinkers and writers have been guest posting regularly.

Feeling a bit sheepish about now, after reading the article looking for guest bloggers, I looked all over the place for the "Contribute" buton that simply doesn't exist.

Five minutes later after scanning the entire page again, I notice the "Write a guest post" link.

Anyways back on topic, guest posts can be a great way to get back links and have benefits to both the guest writer and the website owner, in fact one of my blogs has about 5 articles written by myself and 150 written by guests, I get plenty of traffic and make money from it and the guest writers get back links and plenty of click throughs to their site, so it's win win all round.

You can expect an email from me soon, I already have a title and subject in mind.

Thanks for the mention Ari, I will consider a guest post, really busy at the moment though :-( - not that that is necessarily a bad thing ;-)

:D looks nice and should work, although I find that many people use contact form on my site before clicking that button to ask if they can post, but you mileage may vary

Good advice, Alex, thanks. It's something I change now and then. Take another look now. Better?

Ari,

You might want to make the option to submit Guest Post more visible on your blog menu! It worked well for my blog.

Yeah. I think people really underestimate the "referral" aspect of the guest post.

This is the fundamental strategy of what advertisement has always been about remember the daytime soaps were started by Proctor & Gamble.

This is also why celebs always get stuff for free so long as they wear it in public.
