The question is simple. Which are you?

Thanks to an entrepreneurial OKCupid online dater, you now can take the test inside of five minutes and quickly learn which of the three identifiers most resembles you.
Nerds are passionate learners.
Geeks are passionate niche learners.
Dorks have difficulty with social norms.
With 52% nerdiness, 26% geekiness, and 13% dorkiness, I’m a pure nerd.

And you?

I’m a ‘cool, modern nerd’ with scores: 52 % Nerd, 61% Geek, 35% Dork. Fun test, though I think few questions should have had some hedge-betting neutral ‘maybe’ answers; plus words like ‘regularly’ kinda skewed my results.
FWIW.
Regularly, how so? Too dorky of a question?

I have done or do a number of geeky/nerdy/dorky activities, but not ‘regularly’ so that I think lowered my score, made me seem ‘cooler’ than I really am.

Most people actually identify themselves incorrectly. The biggest offenders are the dorks. They want to be known as geeks and wish they were nerds but the truth is they are what they are DORKS.
Good news for you dorks, everyone loves you and your the funny one the geeks and nerds hang out with most.
That’s all and well but what does the test say about you?

…can’t say for me its hard to tell most days.
I’m Joe Normal ….
30 % Nerd, 43% Geek, 39% Dork
but this test is true ?
Normal? Sounds like you’re more of a geek.
I beat you, Ari. I’m even more of a nerd! 65 % Nerd, 26% Geek, 35% Dork
I didn’t realize that Dork was a negative until I was talking with my 5th grade twins. They were giving me the run down on where everyone ranked in popularity at the school. The kids were considered “Dorks” were at the bottom. And they were considered Dorks usually because of social skills/hygiene issues. Nerds tended not to be popular, but were respected outsiders. So, that’s how the elementary kids rank ‘em!

I’m less nerdy but geekier than you?! Yeah, I can see that. Still amused by my ‘cool, modern’ status.
My sister camped out for an video game thing at Best Buy once (for a friend) and we got to talking w/ some guys in the group. Group A was calling Group B uber geeks or whatever; we were like, ‘pot, kettle’ to this group of engineering students from GATech. They were like, ‘no they’re the AI and chaos theory guys’ all this fringe, out there science. So yeah, there are levels of levels of geekdom, ways to be a ‘cool’ nerd.
When did you talk to 5th grade twins? In 5th grade?
I talked to my twin 5th graders, about a year and a half ago.
Definitely a geek at large here.
What were your percentages?
What a fun test. I took it with my son.
I scored Pure Nerd: 78 % Nerd, 43% Geek, 9% Dork
How did your son score?
Would classify myself as a nerd…
You’d classify yourself or the test told you that?
Joe Normal…30 % Nerd, 26% Geek, 35% Dork…But at least I’m human.
If you weren’t human, you’d be what?
I’m certainly a 100% nerd and geek, passionate of doing something, anything and everything that is different for this year and that is probably me! I always enjoy reading your post, thanks!
Hold on a minute, Shameka. You can’t be 100 percent. Nobody is.
omg how nerdy am I??
Pure Nerd
87 % Nerd, 22% Geek, 26% Dork
Yes that is nerdy. What’s your skill set in?
seo, social media, online marketing, just launched an IT start-up with friends who would probably score pretty high on the geek part

I was a cool nerd. Not too surprising there, although I prefer geek girl.
Not nerd girl?

I liked the way geek girl sounds, but apparently, it is modern cool nerd for me. My analysis was 61%nerd, 74%geek, 39% dork. And I’m geeky enough to have screen captured that results so I could reference it again.

That’s for sure, Danny, for you’re anything but normal. And your name ain’t Joe.
I believe that everybody is a bit of something as every human have complex personality, as well this pretty much depends at which part of lifetime this is checked and measured , haha if it can be checked.

I self-identify as a nerd (http://kooztop5.blogspot.com/2012/01/top-5-nerd-credentials.html), but I am a geek too. I think I am not a dork by this definition though… According to the test, I’m a “modern, cool nerd”: 87% nerd, 65% geek, 35% dork. Fun test–thanks!
