With this sentence, the blog known as AriWriter has officially died and is reborn under the name of the person who created it in 2007.
That’s me.
I thank Owen Cutajar for agreeing to backup, restore, and setup core WordPress files and the physical database. He has more experience doing WordPress domain transfers than me (as I have none), so all I have left to do are some cosmetic changes both on this site and externally.
I’ve removed the tagline that accompanied the AriWriter header image and introduce a more refined summary of who I am, what I do, and what you can expect future articles to comprise. Social media marketing will remain a focus on these pages, but it won’t be the only focus.
In the coming weeks, items on the above navigation bar will be slightly changed — along with an idea to create a static homepage with a video welcome and a brief description of my business services. Like all things on the web, this site will be under construction from time to time.
I hope you stick around. I think you’ll enjoy the future.

Those social icons on the top looks great.
Good luck with the re-birth! I’ve enjoyed your blog immensely the last few months.
Thanks, Cheryl. May I probe what specifically you’ve enjoyed?
I had to go back and take a peek at your posts and I’m pretty sure it was: http://ariherzog.com/forget-increasing-twitter-followers-or-facebook-fans/ that jumped out to me. It must have been recommended in my Google Reader, so I subscribed. There have been many gems from you! The Age verification post as I had a brewer for a web design contract, the skittles post, Should Consultants Compete or Cooperate? was interesting as my industry (Virtual Assistants) is famous for cooperating,. Now that I’m looking back over these, I need to set aside some time to re-read them. Thanks again!
I hope all goes well with all these new changes I have really enjoyed reading the articles on your website since I have started using it and hope that this goes on.
You write interesting articles that are written in a way which is good to read.
What sort of articles have you enjoyed reading?
Yeah same as Cheryl had to go back through some of the older stuff to find some. Lather, Rinse, Repeat is one of the later ones which was quite good and very valid point.
Killing My BlackBerry Softly
Why Blog Lurking is Not Bad
Why Social Media Does Not Bring Us Closer
Nearly all your posts are a good read to be honest you manage to write from a point of veiw which just makes a good read, after reading your articles your always left thinking thats so true. Unlike alot of blogs that are just spammy sites filled with garbage and copied content ect.
Unlike all of them this is one thats always worth comming back to again and again.

Applause!
I’ve been considering leaving waynejohn.com behind for another, anonymous blog where I can be myself without fear of any professional ramifications.
What sort of “professional ramifications” do you refer? If you consider anonymity, you may want to reacquaint yourself with Sean Platt’s guest article here last year on why he stopped blogging anonymously.
And the blog rises from the ashes, like a phoenix. Completely new, and yet, the same as before.
Great to see that the new blog has the old one incorporated into it Ari, its really well ‘shifted’ from the one to the other if you see what I mean.
I wish you the best of luck with your new blog, I look forward to future changes and I hope to stick around and continue reading and commenting!
Thank You Ari Herzog!
Christopher Roberts
You bet, Christopher. (You don’t go by Chris, huh?)
Don’t tell anyone but you may enjoy what’s coming out here tomorrow in this space.
Sorry about the late reply, very busy yesterday, just seen it now Ari
No, I stick to Christopher, don’t really like Chris. Many people call me it, and it doesn’t really bother me, but I prefer Christopher…
Where did you find my Avatar? I was meaning to send you that!
http://www.christopher-roberts.co.uk/Images/Logo-Site-120×120.jpg is the location for future reference
1 small request, could “The following is a feature article by Christopher Roberts” be changed from http://www.technology.christopher-roberts.co.uk/ to http://www.christopher-roberts.co.uk/ as that’s my main site
Thanks again Ari!
I first landed here because I wanted to know more about One True Fan. But it seems to have disappeared off your blog? All the hype said – it was a way to see who the ‘lurkers’ are, the ones who don’t comment. Didn’t work out?
Sorry to hear that. I’d learned about One True Fan from this article by Louis Gray. I both installed the code locally and activated a Firefox plugin, but eventually removed both. The plugin was following me all over the web which was distracting; and I figured if it was distracting to me, it would be distracting for other people. I did get a few comments from readers who didn’t like it.
That answers my real question – should I install OTF? Will it slow my blog down, be irritating, does it work? Glad I found your site!

I love that you switched it over to be under your name instead of ariwriter. While the other name was clever – you are so much more than just a writer, and this allows for you to expand and reach more areas. In addition, the new design is much better – and I love the social icons, very cool! Congrats on the change over and I look forward to more great content
Thanks, Kirsten. More things are in store — on multiple fronts, this blog included. ‘Til then…

I read your Feature Friday post before this, Ari, so I can see where you are going in the future. I am enjoying everything. Great job!
