To the Future of My Blog

Keep with it.

I wrote 7 blog articles last month.

That must be a record for an all-time low. I can’t explain it other than I’m tired of writing the same stuff every other blogger writes. Yeah, yeah, you may not read those other blogs — but, I do; and I don’t want my blog to be part of the echo chamber.

I want to be original.

I *am* original.

Recalling the expectations I laid out on the occasion of this blog’s 4th birthday in May, honing in on the direction I intended (and continue to intend) this blog to take, changes are afoot.

Today is the first day of December in the last month of 2011.

Stick with me. I hope you like what I have in store, the blogging fodder I am planning to share in the coming days and weeks and months.

Thanks for the inspiration, Molly.

In one of my blogs, I used to write 5-7 articles every week. But these days I limit it to 2-3 (max). Of course, I am concentrating on other ventures but more importantly, I want to write only when I have something informative or interesting to share. It helps everyone. So, +1 to your approach !

I don’t think you should feel obliged to write a certain minimum number of posts every month.Writing a blog should be fun and should be used to start conversations between people and get their views and opinions.Surely one good post a month that starts a great conversation is better than ten posts with no meaningful comments

Good on you Ari, I know what you mean about the originality, so many blogs just shout about the same thing, just in a different way!

Looking forward to the future :-)

It definitely can be tough coming up with consistent content – I know the feeling. I’m actually in a blogging competition right now – having to put out about 5 posts a week. I’m used to about one a week, but its getting easier.

Echo chamber in social? No way Jose………why don’t you write about Klout or Google +, I haven’t seen anything on those topics……….

While I do prefer the blogs I love to be able to continually create and publish awesome articles that benefit my business on an ongoing basis I realize that isn’t always possible.
There are bloggers who write a single article each week, or even every two and contribute to that one article daily so that in the end it’s two or three thousand words focused on a single topic. Because of the fact that there are many more bloggers posting shorter pieces daily these articles stand out much more boldly.
(A blog that comes to mind is viperchill)

Personally, it depends on my mood and weather :)
Sometimes i can write a three-four articles per-day, sometimes 1-2 articles per week. Don’t force yourself. All should be naturaly )

Day by day the competition is getting more. Only by publishing quality articles, we can be on the top.

All the best for 2012.
