WTF is a Reverse Google Pagerank Algorithm?

Junk.

John emailed me with a link to click to verify a link partnership with a random dot com website.

I’ve found your website with the “reverse google pagerank algorithm” which indicates that we both would get better google rankings, when we exchange links.

There is no denial that contextual words inside of a sentence optimize search engines to recognize reciprocal websites (this one doing the linking earlier in this sentence and Jay’s receiving the link) but what in all things online is a “reverse google pagerank algorithm?”

Google pagerank is real.

This reverse garbage is just that.

I marked the email as spam.

Innovative spam mail. Actually, its ‘attention catching phrase’ should be appreciated :)

Good thing you marked it as a spam. But reverse google pagerank algorithm really sucks though.

I agree with Raj. Even though it’s spam, it’s at least somewhat original.

And quite benevolent from him to shoot for the reciprocal link. After all, he could have sent you this instead:

“I’ve found your website with the “reverse google pagerank algorithm” which indicates that we both would get better google rankings, when you link to my site.” ;-)

The reverse google pagerank algorithm is a synch compared to the inverted reverse google pagerank algorithm and don’t get me started on the monolith that is the triple reflected inverted reverse google pagerank algorithm. Oh the horror

I hear the 2001 theme music playing, as the giant Reverse Google Pagerank Algorithm monolith is filmed from below–all bow down and worship it! Seriously though, great post. I actually laughed out loud when I read it.

Lol, the stuff people try to fool you with does amuse me sometimes Ari :-)
The rest of the time it’s usually just really annoying!

Google always updates its algorithm series and I have found out that they are using a too much complicated algorithm method right now.

To be honest first time I’ve ever heard this “reverse google pagerank algorithm”. Seems innovative way to misguide people. You done the right thing; marked as a spam.

And nowadays the PageRank is not the only factor to position websites in the Google results. Indeed, the results are not always relevant when there is that this index is used. Now there is the TrustRank to use and perhaps 100 of other things considered.

How creative. If only they use their creativity into something useful and helpful not only for them but for others.

Interesting topic. I read a huge amount of different “how to” regarding effective backlink strategies and in most of them I found such an advice: “email the owner of the similar niche site with a question to exange with site links. It works perfect”. I thought that it really sounds silly. But the person described in your post tried to implement it….without a success…

Interesting….I receive also SPAM messages and comments from different bots. They are trying to be more credible or to get your attention like this one.

I just came across this email as well, and found this site when I did a search of the phrase. It IS quite original! It’s not like I look up what exactly a spam email means to me very often…so bravo to whoever sent this, in my case “John Stahl”

It was an interesting email using the keyword “reverse google pagerank algorithm”. I can see your blog ranked at second place (google uk) for the keyword. But I agree with you, it was likely to be spam email.

I myself have had the pleasure of an email from Mr J Stahl.

Personally I think it’s a really poor piece of spam outreach. It offers a reciprocal link but in fact he hasn’t listed your site at all (I checked), he doesn’t know my name depite it being all over my blog, and has clearly sent blanket emails to all potential domains generic emails. eg. info@ admin@ etc.

I don’t think i’ve ever hit my spam button so fast haha

Yah, this guy is pure spam. I did not found our site at all and found a link to selling services/book. Not pretty, I am surprised that Googles spam protection let it through to my inbox.

Nice to see I’m not the only one receiving these. They actually put a link on their site to mine wanting a reciprocal. I figured I would check out this reverse lookup garbage. Thanks for the information.
