I registered to vote in the days following my 18th birthday. I don’t understand how people could be twice that age and are unregistered to vote. It’s one thing if someone chooses not to vote, due to political apathy or some other concept, but being unregistered in the first place?
Briefly scanning the blogosphere, Layneh and Kristen of The Upper East Side Scene talk about the importance of voting. And, Diana who mailed in her voter registration form on January 2nd, couldn’t be happier.
Follow them, or march to your own beat, but if your state’s primary participates in Super Tuesday on February 5, there is a voter registration deadline of January 16. Get out and rock the vote. Show your pride, show your belief on immigration or Iraq, or just decide to do it because you can. So many people in this world are prohibited from voting because their government leaders tell them they can’t. We, as Americans, can.
