May 2015 marked the eighth birthday of my blog!
It’s seen three URLs, multiple names, and many designs. You can visit the archive and read my initial blog posts about apartment life and everything under the sun, tracing when I started writing about digital marketing. For instance, here’s a piece from May 2007 critiquing a website. Today, I’d write that much differently with screenshots and an accompanying video.
I’ve created a lot of content since 2007 — and people continue to visit, comment, and share.
What you can expect between now and May 2016:
- You can expect to read less about the WHAT and more about the WHY. I know I said this last year but life got in the way and I’m rejuvenated to salvage my Monday muses column to interview innovators and dreamers.
- You can expect to unique content that you want to share. I rarely blog about trends and you won’t see the Mashable echo chamber here.
- You can expect wonderful things.
Why this blog exists:
I created my first blog on May 14, 2007 on the 12th anniversary of my father’s death. I’ve written about him lots, including why he is the impetus for my blogging. He died from a sudden heart attack at age 46 on May 14, 1995.
