Over at Social Media Today, an aggregate of the world’s best social media bloggers, co-founder Jerry Bowles compared Twitter users to birdbrains. I thought his perspective was misguided and I added a comment.
Judging from responses at SMT and in more direct places, there is a general sentiment Jerry doesn’t get it.
In an effort to share with Jerry and everyone else a snippet of my Twitter usage, here are two snapshots of my recent outgoing tweets and incoming ones. (There is also a private way of sending messages called “direct messages” which is not included in either snapshot.)
If I didn’t think at least one person would find value in something I write, I wouldn’t write it. Judging from responses, you can read into that yourself.
But like I wrote in that comment at SMT to Jerry, maybe I’m a birdbrain after all. If you agree, I’d love to hear your thoughts. If you disagree, feel free to follow me on Twitter.
