The above screenshot is what the homepage of this blog looks like today.
It didn’t always have condensed versions of the four most recent posts staring at you. It used to be more representative of Shannon Paul‘s here and Julie Road‘s there — blogs with the most recent article displayed in full.
But I got tired with that design so I clicked a few buttons in the WordPress dashboard and voila!
I also got tired of the Twitter and Facebook “like” buttons at the top of each article — since those links are also at the articles’ bottoms — so removed those as well.
The moment you stop evolving the design of your website or blog is the moment you become static and expected.
