Today is the seventh birthday of my blog!
It’s seen three URLs, multiple names, and many designs. If you’ve never visited the archive, you can trace my first blog posts about apartment life and the environment and see when I started writing about digital media. For instance, here’s a piece from May 2007 critiquing a website. Today, I’d write that much differently with screenshots and an accompanying video. Progress.
I’ve created a lot of content since 2007 — and people continue to visit, comment, and share.
What you can expect between now and May 2015.
- You can expect to read less posts about things and more about people. I want to salvage Monday muses and interview people who innovate and inspire. I want you to know about them and I want my blog to be the conduit.
- You can expect to discover case studies and best practices on digital marketing — delving into the holistic experience and away from norms.
- You can expect unique content. I’m tired of reading the same stuff in multiple places and you won’t see the Mashable echo chamber here.
- You can expect to read e-books that I’ve been saying for years I would write; and you will have an opportunity to become an affiliate and earn money every time you make a sale.
You can expect typical stuff that 7-year-olds do — discovering the backyard and what lies beyond. I hope you stick around. A lot of people read my blog by email and click over when inspired to add a comment. You can sign up here for emailed blog posts.
