How much time do you spend seeking answers to unimportant questions?
It doesn’t matter how many fans you have on your Facebook page as long as you provide relevant information and respond to their questions.
It doesn’t matter how frequently you send messages on Twitter or Google+ because your friends will respond to those messages that are relevant or insightful to them and gloss over the rest.
It doesn’t matter what you write on your blog or how often you schedule new articles to be published because your readers will always be there, complementing and critiquing you.
Stop over thinking what you should do online — and just do it.

Thanks for reminding us readers about this. I spend 10 hours online everyday for five days a week. And I don’t really know what to do right. I end up playing games while thinking. And when I got frustrated, shut myself in bed. And the same cycle happens tomorrow and tomorrow..
Gaming helps you think? To each his own. For me it’s listening to music, or reading a book.
I agree Ari, for a long time I got fooled into this idea of writing any old post and spent three times as long researching how to get followers than actually writing quality content. As soon as I started focusing on quality and responding to comments properly I started to get picked up by other reputable bloggers.
Quality always trumps quantity. Always has and always will.
*ALWAYS* /me thumbs up
You got it right, Marvin. Many bloggers and site owners these days are more obsessed about getting more followers than writing quality posts. Only very few know that quality posts keep the readers coming back to actually read posts and interact.

Hi Ari,
Just curious – I don’t see a Google+ button to promote your content. Is that intentional?
Great post.
@Tammi, but there is indeed a Google + button.

Hi Ari,
How odd, it wasn’t there when I commented yesterday. Just the tweet, FB, and LinkedIn share buttons were showing. I will +1 now.
Thanks!
Indeed there is. See the +1 button?
Hi Ari,
Oh, my Gosh! You are so right. We spend more and more time online; and I wonder, is our “exploring” always connected to a specific reason, or is just hanging out? I am worried and concerned about children and young teenagers. Last but not least questioning, is internet a “substitute” for satellite TV? Are we becoming internet “couch potatoes”?
Thank you Ari. Great post.
Satellite TV? Care to explain that?
Well, nowadays we spend hours in front of a computer… Years ago, the same phenomena has been described TV.

I hear you loud and clear. I’m still figuring out how to make my email list better. I will have to check out some of the posts you linked too. Nice article, thanks for sharing the info.
Short and direct to the point. Good one Ari.
Spending several hours online floating from one site to another without even knowing what we are clearly searching for. I was like that at first. Then I met a group of people whom I became comfortable talking with. They suggested a few sites which covers most of the topics I am interested in.
haha, a very simple article but it’s also brilliant
I want to have everything perfect in my online business but it will never be perfect. Like you say and the Nike commercial says.
JUST DO IT !
